WebCam question

I have a SONY digital Camcorder and I was wondering if there was any OS X software that would allow me to use it as a webcam, either snapping still shots, or streaming semi-live video onto a website.

    CoolCam for osx will do just that. The problem is if your camcorder is like mine and has a sleep mode. It will just turn off after a certain amount of time with no use. And taking pics from webcam software is not considered use by the camcorder.

    BTW..if you find a way around this, I'd love to hear it.

    yeah that's my issue... CoolCam X works fine except I can't figure out how to get the darn thing to upload to my FTP server... If you can help, IM me or something cause it's REALLY bugging me.



    My camera turns off after 15 min of idle time and I can't seem to find a way around it. I'll keep you posted if I find away around it.
