Good call Leonis! Thanks for the link. I wasn't going to even bother looking until PS 7 was released. I've only used it a little so far but it looks much cleaner interface-wise than the OS 9 versions I used. Also seems to produce nice results when coupled with P1650 model. Opened up some 300 dpi TIFF files in AI 10 and they look fine.

Well, the most glaring deficiency is the interface thus far. Way too many command buttons laying around. Online Help needs to be moved to the Help Menu (which isn't even activated yet), all Preferences -- including that goofy startup dialog window (not the autoscan thing) -- need to go to the Application Menu, etc.

Also need Close and Collapse Widgets on Title Bar.

Also I'm seeing some odd patterns when scanning at about 300 dpi - especially on high-quality calendar prints (where you can't see any patterns on the original image, even with a loupe).

Write to the address below to let them know about cleaning up the interface (everything doesn't need its own button) and any scanning problems you have.
