MacBook Pro screen problemo

I really do try and keep up on these things or solve my questions via google-fu but if I've missed something please feel free to point me in the proper direction

Anyway. as of late, I've noticed my 1.5yr old MacBook Pro is having a nice little screen bleed. I'm not sure if it goes away/comes back. But I know I saw it once a few days ago, and then noticed it again today while playing WoW. I rebooted thinking it might be a rendering/screen bleed and fix itself easily. But alas, no go. I also tested by opening Photoshop and bringing up a plain black image and seeing if I could still see it-- I could.

It looks red/pinkish discolouration. Not sure what might be causing it, or if it is a permanent thing as it seems a bit too early. So requesting help of the tech people here as my second and third opinions are both PC users and they can't seem to pin the problem! Is it a known Mac-related problem or am I lucky first?

Also curious if Apple Care will perhaps cover this if it's a perm. problem...

I trust your display is not near any non-shielded magnetic sources?

Never. Not even the headphones I have lying around my desk (which wouldn't be strong enough anyway) are ever brought near my mac's screen.

The only time it could be is when I haul it to my physics classes and where I set my bags-- but I've never seen any lab equip near where we store our bags. ;]

My boyfriend's housemate works at Apple, I showed it to him a night or so ago and he said AppleCare would cover it so now I just have to get it in to get repaired.
