Syncing iPhone with iTunes 7.6.0.29 sometimes doesn't complete

Firstly I'd like to say that I'm a new user to your forum. Definitely enjoy the read.
I am another proud iPhone owner. Love it!
I'm currently having problems with iTunes 7.6 sync with iPhone. I was previously using 7.4.3 as I'm one of those iPhone users from AUS, non AT&T. Approximately 7 of 10 sync's work as expected. The troublesome 3 seem to be a result of iTunes trying to contact the iTunes store during the sync process. If I revert back to 7.4 I don't have this issue.
I know that 3 from 10 isn't that bad, but like many of you, I use my iPhone as a personal assistant (don't want to offend any CE people out there) and it seems that the troublesome 3 is when I'm really counting on a meeting reminder, unfortunately I have missed a few here and there, and I don't want to blame the iPhone.
Any assistance here is greatly appreciated.
