Essentially I need a utility printer for light duty in a home office.. What are people recommending for inexpensive all in one (print, scan, fax) inkjets these days.

Epson CX7400... I picked one up new for $60. Works great.
I would go with Epson, I currently am still using the R200, which is a few years old but it still works like a dream. I love Epson printers, great quality!

Thanks for the welcome, although I'm not new--I'm returning.
Damn, the Epson is cheap. I was considering the CX4600, but it got awful customer reviews on CNET. The 7400 doesn't fax. (same with the Canon) What's the workaround, software?.

While it doesn't have fax, I have a Canon MP810 that is fantastic.
