Does anyone have the schematic for this unit or step-by-step to change internal RAM? I want to upgrade the internal 128MB RAM to 512MB. The unit I have: imac g4 700MHz 15" flat screen.

Looks like to me this DIMM is the DESKTOP version of the PC133, much bigger than the SODIMM...

Follow the specs here, but get the DIMM size (desktop). www.newegg.com is great place to get RAM! Another one is www.macsales.com I just ordered some for my B&W G3.

That tutorial is spot on. Remember, and this is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT... you must remove the old thermal paste from the heatsinks on both the small bottom and the remainder of the dome, and replace it with a small dose of new thermal paste. If you don't do this, you will fry your iMac.

On a side note, the iMac G4 is the only computer I've even seen, Mac or PC, that has both a DIMM and SO-DIMM slot.
