Graphics card vs. Adobe CS3

I was wondering what effect the graphics card has on applications like InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Will the powerful discreet NVIDIA and ATI cards offer a marked improvement over the integrated graphics chipsets like the X950 and X1300 ? or is it purely 3D where they offer advantages?

Adobe apps are mostly CPU intensive. Aperture & Pixelmator are the only 2 that I know of that really utilize the GPU for photo editing.

Unless you want it for games, spend the $$$ on more RAM or extra backup space. RAM will make the difference for CS more so than video card.
