Firefox question

Folks, I have a Firefox question. (I have noted the 'Safari or Firefox' thread below)

Over the weekend, I met friends who Firefox on Macs. I asked why they set aside Safari. They claimed familiarity and ease of use. One claimed Netscape is more effective than Firefox but Safari is by and large a 'bitch' . A common denominator was, like me, they were PC converts.

I reverted two of them back to Safari. I showed how Safari’s Activity Window downloads multiple vids from YouTube and Google. Once vids were downloaded, VideoLan Client and QuickTime were the players but launch speed made VLC the preferred choice. To transfer the saved vids to DVD or iPod, Visual Hub was the converter. Everything ‘in-house’ so to speak. The long time Mac/Firefox users were enlightened.

My question! Is Safari’s equivalent of SAW a feature in Firefox and/or Netscape? If the answer is negative, I’d like valid reasons why one would prefer Firefox or Netscape instead.
