Silly question. Pls help

This is quite a silly question but it just show how IT illiterate i am.

If i install a same prog three times, will the files just replace each other or it takes three times more disk space???



While trouble shooting the other day, i reinstalled OS X even though I already had OS X. Did i just wated another 1.5 Gig of space??

    If you reinstall something, chances are it will just overwrite the previous installation. It won't take up any more disk space than it did before (assuming you reinstalled it to the same location).
