Jaguar screen shots please

I've seen the one's on Apple's site, but I'm looking for pics from the developer conference this week. If Steve talked about it then I assume that there was a big screen demoing it in the background. There must be photos somewhere?

Cheers,

Yeah, yeah... I don't put too much faith in Spy Mac. But at any rate, I did find them before checking back in this thread.

The SpyMac pictures are fake. It's easy to prove.

Go to <a href="http://www.apple.com/macosx/"; target="_blank">http://www.apple.com/macosx/</a>; and pay close attention to the minimized IE window in the dock and the icon badge's position.

Now look at the SpyMac image.

Not really...the label for the dock was probably set to 'right'...not 'bottom'.

Why would the screenshot be fake...the SpyMac weiners got their Jaguar Preview CDs...all they needed to do was take a screenshot.

    Ooh, that's interesting...

But I don't think that's what people meant when they said they wanted "labels" back. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

The icon badge inconsistancy is not unique.

    Take a look at this.

    It's from Apple's Jaguar page.

Now look at the SpyMac textbox for searching.

I've seen this thread on a few boards. And the conclusion is:

They are NOT fake. The one on Spymac's page is when you have set the toolbar to display ONLY ICONS. The one on Apple's is when it is set to ICONS AND TEXT :-)

BY GOLLY! You're right...they are fake. I'm sorry I've doubted you.

Clearly the search field is different.

And if you look really carefully, there's something odd with the placement of the 'Back' button compared to all the other buttons in the toolbar...the 'Back' button seems a little low judging by the button-text underneath it. It's subtle but the misplacement is real.

I don't understand why they would fake something like this...

Why would the Finder window's view options have a Dock option in it?

added: Jamie, I think your location text is throwing off the forum's formatting for some reason.

Wow, those labels on minimized windows in the dock are awesome! Way to go, Apple!

Those spymac photos are real, you guys are just paranoid.

I'm estimating that more than 50% of the content on SpyMac is fabricated. They did the iWalk, so what's stopping them from creating "mock-ups" of Jagwire?

If it's not a fake... then it might be doctored at least... why? well...

    1) The new "Info Panel" is showing info for the Applications folder... yet the Applications folder is NOT selected... the HARD DRIVE is. Under the current implementation, Get Info updates to whatever is selected.

    2) SnapzPro seems to be used for the screenshot... yet there's no black triangle under it indicating that the application is running.

    Am I wrong...?

Actually, snapz pro never has to be in the dock to work. Type cmd-shift-3, and a snapz pro box pops up, and you take a screenshot, but it's icon is never in the dock.

And Jamie, as long as we're being sticklers for grammar, what is it key to? "Key" is a transitive verb, thus requiring a direct object. Example: "Grammar is key to annoying people on this board." Sorry, couldn't resist. I really don't have a stick up my ass, I promise. (And if the week isn't up yet, were you paying attention to that, Anders?)

OK, well I personally believe they are real, but there's no use arguing about it -- it's already been released to thousands of developers -- screenshots to compare them to will appear soon. Anyway, they don't have to make them up. They have a guy at the wwdc and have been providing really good coverage. Obviously this guy got the CDs.

Anyway, something that made me smile:

    <a href="http://www.spymac.com/cgi-bin/pictures/index.pl?photo=708"; target="_blank">http://www.spymac.com/cgi-bin/pictures/index.pl?photo=708</a>;

The dock shows a small parent app icon. I've been waiting for this for a long time.. I often cannot tell which minimized windows are which.
