Clearance of 2G iPhones?

Is there any possibility of Apple selling the older iPhone from the clearance part of their store for a deeply discounted price. I really like the iPhone 3G, but not having pre-paid plans available and the increase in data packages are deterring me from it. Also, will local AT&T stores discount their stock of old iPhones? Thanks

    I agree! I have a 4GB iPhone and would love to find a 16GB first gen iPhone to replace it. I can't find any anywhere though. Apple cleared inventory months ago.
