Iphone or ipod touch?

I live in canada and Ive been wanting to buy an ipod touch for a little while. I decided to wait for the WWDC until i bought one to find if anything new is announced. So they annoumced the new iphone is coming to canada on july 11. So the only reason i have on not getting the iphone and getting the ipod touch is that the lowest monthly plan is like $70. I don't really know what to do, i really want the iphone because it looks really cool with the black back and all the new stuff, but $70 a month is alot. I don't know if the plan includes everything but the thing is i don't need all the stuff like sending or emailing business software and stuff like that, if you don't include that would it cost less?

    You are paying through the nose with the iPhone, if I were in your shoes I would go for the iPod Touch, wait a bit though, Apple might be releasing an updated version
