iPhone and Room Redo
Hey everyone. Before I begin my story, let me set a few things straight. What I am NOT asking of you!
-Money
-Sympathy (because I have no need for it, nor want it, nor deserve it by any stretch of the mind)
-No one saying "this kid is a scam and is fake and..." crap
-People cussin me out for whatever random reason they have
Now, on to my story. Lately my desire to revamp my room and purchase a few new tech pieces (namely a Logitech sound system, Macbook/Macbook Pro, printer, iPhone 3G over everything, external hard drive and a new desk - yes I realize how long this list is
) forced me to begin the search for a summer job. Of course my freshmen year in high school just ended and I’m going to be a sophomore for the 2008-09 school year and won’t be 16 until October, so going in, I knew my chances of even getting a job were slim to none. Even though it’s legal to work and get a workers permit at 14, no place really hires till 16. After about 2 or 3 weeks of searching, and my mom constantly saying, "your not gona get hired until next summer, you might as well save your energy," I did a Google search on ways to make money. Upon finding a site with 10 top ways, Blogging and starting a merchandise site were up there at 4 and 5. I do have experience with Dreamweaver using a very "special " copy, have a checking account my dad setup for me about 2 years ago, have a PayPal and Ebay account that I used to use quite often, and have ALOT of knowledge with online merchant account information so I figured why not start a site; just a random site not necessarily selling something, but just a site where I could do something to pull in a lot of traffic that would then maybe cause other sites to want to sponsor me, thus giving me a way to earn some cash. Of course either way I go, I would love to be able to make some money to revamp my room seeing as the peeling baby blue wallpaper with trains on it in a 15 (16 in October) year olds room is quite a sham. My parents have gone out and bout the paint that I wanted (thanks guys =] ) need, but I still need some other supplies like a dresser and bed frame in addition to the stuff above that I want. Everything would pretty much come from IKEA since I picked out all the stuff I want from there so yeah.
To sum this up if anyone’s still reading, I need some idea’s on what to make a site out of that would bring in some traffic, or what kinda things to sell if any (tech stuff only seeing as how most my knowledge is in that field, i.e. graphics cards or something really). Just something that would attract teens to come and visit, and no porn is not an option you perves out there. I’ve got a couple ideas but would like some input because I really want a room redo and the new iPhone for several reasons. Thanks for your input!
P.S. I will be starting a random blog soon to post pics of everything in my room right now. and this does mention the iPhone several times and how I want it several times so I do believe that this Post is in the correct place
