New PS3 with latest firmware locks up on BDs made within last year. Exchange it?

The subject line pretty much says it. I just bought the console and just updated it and now 3 of the 6 BDs I bought lock up the machine. The weird thing is that it's the 3 newest discs, all about a year old (since release) or less. One of them actually played fine before the update.



I've tried resetting the box to no avail and my next course of action is call Sony or exchange it. Any ideas?
