Mobile me mail works...but NOTHING else is synching...HELP!

I already contacted Apple...but now help.



Was wondering if anyone here can shed some light perhaps.



I have a G5 imac loaded with OS X 10.4.11



I used to be a .mac member for many years, but let my membership expire last year.



I signed up for a 60 day free "trial" to check it out and to see if I wanted to rejoin. I like it...with one big BUT.....



So far I got the email to sync up from my desktop to mobile me online. Works great....



However...NOTHING else syncs(my address book, calender etc).



I don't know what is wrong, but my computer won't let me synchronize. I opened system preferences (.mac) panel....but BOTH the "synchronize with .mac" button and the "sync now" button are greyed out.



All I get is a message "THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE SYNC OPERATION".



I don't have ilife on my computer...but that shouldn't affect the sync should it?



Is it on the Apple side or my side? Any advice?



I am ready to give up.

    On launch day (July 11th) Mobile Me was experiencing problems.



    Since you have your free 60 days free trial period, I would allow it to run its course and give Apple time to fix the problems.



    You can always cancel out if you are not satisfied, so my advice is to hang in there. \
