MobileMe doomsday scenario

I'm confused - what if your kid deletes all your contacts on your laptop at home? Does that mean 15 minutes later all your contacts on your work computer will be nuked too? Or what if there's an unexpected glitch in the "cloud" which removes all your calendars - are they going bye bye on your desktop Mac? What's the safety net for MobileMe (if any). This is the kind of thing that prevents me from deploying it for my small business, and will continue to unless I get some assurances. Anyone have any ideas on this?

What if your kid shoves your computer off your desk? What if your kid lights your house on fire?
