Would Apple make something like this?
Maybe 32", 40" and 46", Apple designed TV, with built inn regular AppleTV
capabilities. And also Safari web browser and perhaps even an App Store.
All would be controlled with an touchscreen remote, bundled with the set.
The remote could also be used as a game controller, for games bought in the App store.
iPhones and iPod Touch could also get software, so that they also could be used as game controllers.
The mockup I made is not too good, it´s just serves as an illustration to the idea..

Computer's can display tv-content so making tv's would be a step back.
The apple tv box is just a wireless interface to stream video+audio.
Every mac will be touchscreen in a couple of years, iphone can act as remote.
So to summarize, Apple is never gonna build a dedicated tv.
And with how much Apple charges for their 30" displays, I can't imagine a 46"-er with the functionality of a current Apple TV. I don't think the price would be good for what you'd be getting.
