.Mac / Mobile Me account vanished

Hello,

My Dad's .Mac account has suddenly denied him access. I know there has been a lot of Mobile Me problems recently, but have any been reported today?



On webmail, I get: 'Invalid member name or password.'



More worrying is the response from the 'Password Retrieval' page. On sending the username, it returns:

My Info: Cannot Verify Account



We apologize but we are unable to verify your account information online.



??????????????????????????????????????



(Yes the question marks are displayed!)



Has anyone had a similar problem recently? (This is not a account payment issue.)

What is the best way to contact Apple to report this problem?



Shame, it is my Dad's account, I recommended Apple to him and I've always been singing their praises. Got a bit of egg on my face now.



Any advice would be appreciated.

    In case anyone is interested: A bit embarassing but, it turns out my Dad had given me the wrong password.



    However, this does not explain the VERY POOR response of the 'Password Retrieval' page.
