Will/should remote app wake your computer from phone?

Am wondering if anyone knows about waking your computer from sleep when trying to access itunes via the remote app on iphone? I can't seem to get it to do this, or if it's even possible. I don't know if having an old G4 would make a difference? I even went to firewall and listed itunes specifically in the set access option. Also have wake for administrator access in energy saver turned on. Thoughts/tips/tricks? Be a more seamless integration if I didn't have to walk up stairs and make sure the computer is on every time I want to stream music with iphone. Thanks.

Hmm... mine will wake from sleep when I access "Remote". Of course iTunes has to be running before it went to sleep.

The Energy Saver Panel > Options tab has a setting fro "Wake for Ethernet network admin access" and that is turned on. Running OSX 10.5.4. The iMac that iTunes runs from is wired to the Airport/Time Capsule. That might make a difference, since there is no setting for "Wake for WiFi admin access".
