iphone & hotmail/hotmail+ pop3?

Can someone clear something up for me. I heard that iphone cannot support hotmail due it being POP or something? Can someone clarify?



I then heard that if you upgrade to hotmail plus iphone will support it as it is POP3.



Does anyone know anything about this? I dont want to pay for upgrade to hotmail plus for me to still not get it on iphone.

    So far as I know, there is no way to retrieve basic Hotmail on the iPhone. But the basic version is not POP3. I know this is only part of the answer you seek, but I don't know what protocol you get when you pay for an upgraded Hotmail account. If it's POP3, I don't know any reason it wouldn't work with the iPhone. I have two POP3 accounts from my ISP that I check routinely. Perhaps annother reader will clarify the second part of your question: Can the iPhone retrieve Hotmail from a paid account?
