Any changes to the Color Panel in Jaguar?

The color panel in 10.1 is pretty lacking... it would be nice to choose HTML colors and be able to use an eyedropper anywhere on the screen. Can we expect anything like this in 10.2?

    Cocoa and Carbon apps use the same color picker now.







    That's TextEdit on the left and GraphicConverter on the right. GC's picker is modal, probably because of legacy code. I suspect that when carbon apps are updated, they will be able to use a true "palette" rather than the modal window.



    Oh, and to answer your question, the magnifying glass can be used to get a color from anywhere on the screen.



    And no, there is no HTML color selector that shows the hex values.

    Well, you have an eyedropper in the 10.1 color panel, at least in the Cocoa color picker. The new one is basically the same as the current one, but its layout has been modified. It has a color wheel, sliders, palettes (this is where pantone and web-safe colors would go), images and crayons to select color from.
