eh, it is only an incorrect read-me, yet, if people here were using that as evidence, there would be some problems! <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

    That is correct.

As it says, only a single documentation file was changed. Therefore, there was no reason to make an entirely new build again.

    **absolutely nothing else was changed**

this is like the sixth time since 6C115 that i've read that it was/wasn't _the_ GM... i'm glad that - again - it is confirmed that 6C115 _is_ (at least code-wise) the final version.

    W - h - o

    C - a - r - e - s?!

Would you sleep better at night knowing that GM is 6c117 vs 6c115? What if 6c117 had two extra bug fixes, but you never used the part of the system that was fixed - would you still be pissed if you didn't get it until a month from now?

i care. its the difference between being able to apply updaters via software updater and having to reinstall the 'real' GM.

So you're using a pirated copy, in other words? Don't have a lot of sympathy for your "plight" in that case. Pony up like the rest of us.

i was just answering your question, little boy. noone asked for your sympathy.

I just have a quick question and it seemed stupid to start a new thread so here goes.

I was playing with Jaguar at the apple store and I noticed that the aspect I liked most was missing. What happened to the option to drag a minimized page off the dock and place it anywhere on the desk top? Did they take it out? Does anyone know how to get it back?

Kudos to whoever can answer my question.

It was cut from the developer builds over a month ago. There were several problems with its implementation. Apple may or may not release it in a later build after refining its functionality.

Ow, I didnt know it had been out of Jaguar for over a month. Wow.

I guess that is what haxies are for. I'll have to settle for window shades.

    Thanx Brad.

Ok, I don't understand why people assume that if you're running 6C115 that you pirated it. I for one am running it completely legally. It just has been something on these boards pissing me off, there are some of us who are ADC members.

ADC members wouldn't/shouldn't be asking questions or making comments about 10.2.

Something about an NDA. Hence the assumptions.

NDA notwithstanding.....the cat's out of the bag now. so quit playing hall monitor and be constructive or STFU.

NDA is over my friend. Jaguar is shipping. Every mac in the Apple Store runs Jaguar. New Macs ship with jaguar. jaguar orders have begun shipping.

People have legal copies that they have bought from Apple.

    the NDA is long over

Tell you what, tiny - I'll STFU if you admit that your concern about being able to upgrade pirated software is not a legitimate one.

If people who were buying new machines were getting stuck with a build they couldn't update for some reason, I can see cause for concern. For people like yourself, no one gives a rat's ass (but you) whether you can update or not.

To the ADC members who took offense at my earlier comment, I apologize, but the plain fact is 80% of the people who have a copy of 6c115 right now are not beta testers or owners of new hardware....

Regardless, I'm starting to think that

    Adios.

True and people who steal software should look at what lengths M$ has gone to stop this. Do you want apple putting in serial number protection because of people like this? I sure don't. Back a few years ago people wouldnt pirate Apple sw because if they die your computing experiance goes with them. If you feel like downloading it and running it then it should be worth paying for. So go get a spine you pirates and pony up less then you spend on cable in a year for an entertaining and productive OS that you will use for at least a year! Oh, appology accepted and NDAs only last until stuff is released so 10.2 has been shipping on new HW, pressed into cd's, shipping to individuals so how is it not released yet?
