Free Jaguar T-Shirt?

I received an email about Apple's "letting the cat out of the bag" and in the email it said "Buy Jaguar during the event or at the online store and receive a free Jaguar T-Shirt. So what's the deal? Only people who place orders online for that 200 minutes will get one? What about everyone else who ordered their copy AGES ago? It may sound petty, but dammit I want one of those shirts.

    Apple is extremely bad at rewarding (or even treating fairly) those of their customers that pre-order their products. Every time I've fallen into their pre-order trap, I've come to discover that I could easily have waited until the very last second to order and gotten the same "speedy" service (or even faster!) or some sort of free gift.

    Huh. you call this an operating system, I bet when you buy it you get a free bowl of soup....

    The email refers to Apple's special 10:20pm, Aug 23rd, event at its Apple Stores; where everybody will get a Jaguar T-shirt.



    Also, each Apple Store will be giving away one Mac (the Manager of the MN Apple Store says that it will be an iMac).



    It's really nice to live near an Apple Store! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

    Ah. They literly mean the "Apple Retail Store", so this doesn't count for anyone that bought online. Guess they think the stores will attract more money than the online store :-)

    Yep, we're doing this at our store in Anchorage. Any official Apple Retail store can begin selling Jaguar at 10:20 PM on Friday. I was unware of the T-shirts, but we are having drawings (prizes yet to be announced).



    Plus, I know that at our particular store, we will have an Apple rep on hand doing demonstrations.

    What does it look like? I hope my dad was able to get to Apple Store SoHo on his trip in New York! I'm jealous, but hey I might end up with a Jag shirt!

    I went to the Palo Alto Apple Store and videotaped the whole 4+ hours of fun. I asked "please" and walked out with T-Shirts. Waiting for the dual 1.25GHz MDD in October AFTER the Microprocessor Forum IBM presentation.



    The T-Shirt's back has a 10" Jaguar "skin" X with this text underneath it:

    "Intorducing Mac OS X Version 10.2 (gray) Jaguar (black)"



    The front only has a small 1" diameter black apple logo just below the left armpit and above the nipple area.



    That's it. Simple.

    I didn't even realize that the saleschick slipped a t-shirt into my bag when I bought my copy of 10.2 this afternoon at The Grove in L.A.



    When getting out of my car and grabbing the bag, I noticed the shirt.



    Should I eBay it?
