320 GB/7200 RPM or 500 GB/5400 RPM HD Upgrade?

I am between these drives as an upgrade for my new MBP:



- western digital scorpio black (320 GB / 7200 RPM)

- western digital scorpio blue (500 GB / 5400 RPM)



Anyone has experience with these drives?

Will the speed increase (7200 vs 5400 RPM) result in a significant overall improvement?

    Yes and No.



    If you're just doing simple surfing and none harddrive intensive application, no noticeable difference.



    If you're doing heavy Harddrive intensive applications or transfer alot of files, its definitely worth it. I personally went with the 7200rpm hdd and never regretted my decision.
