How do I back up an eMac's photos?

I have a neighbor who's husband passed away way too early (41 years old). She has an eMac with over 2,000 pictures on it. Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, those pictures are irreplaceable.



I have no experience with an eMac. How can I safely store those photos for her? I believe that they are in iPhoto, but haven't verified that yet.



I have an iMac and a MacBook (brand new) that I can take next door if need be. Or, I can bring the eMac to my house.

    it should have firewire and usb, use a triple interface usb, firewire backup harddrive dump them to that

    maybe superduper can help as well
