iTunes Operational Recommendation

After using Juice Receiver for a long time, I have started using iTunes recently. It is working very well except for one thing. I download a lot of podcasts. It is often necessary to burn them to CD out of order. After I burn them, I do not want to delete them.

How can I keep track of which podcasts I have burned to CD without deleting the original file or entry? In Juice, I go to the podcast folder on the hard drive and drag the burned file to a "done" folder. It seems that the same procedure with iTunes might cause it to get confused.

    Playlists?

    Try this for size.

    1) Create a 'Burned' Playlist. Drag the podcast tracks that you have burned into this playlist. Now you have a listing of the podcasts that you have burned. The problem is that these 'burned' tracks will still be in your Podcast Library indistinguishable from their unburned mates. So...

    2) Create an 'Unburned' Smart Playlist consisting of the tracks in the basic podcast that are not in the 'Burned' Playlist.
