in General Discussion edited January 2014
"Apple today announced that this year is the last year the company will exhibit at Macworld Expo. Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, will deliver the opening keynote for this year's Macworld Conference & Expo, and it will be Apple's last keynote at the show"

The "rdf" is just the extream use of great public speaking skills and a killer marketing knowhow..Phil is a marketing guy, and stage presence and command can be learned with coaching and training, so some level of reality shifting will occur.

I still don't see Phil being up to the job. He's way too immature for the role. Mullet hairstyle, overweight and does all the gimmicky stuff like Photo-booth. He's the Apple clown.

I haven't seen much of Tim Cook but people are pointing to him as a likely successor:

I read an article suggesting this picture makes Phil look like a 3rd wheel:

Spare tyre perhaps. If you were to read body language, you can see that Tim Cook on the left is the favorite.

Only problem is, he's a very boring speaker:

It almost sounds like someone has slowed his real voice down and he's one of those people who pronounces words in unique ways that just gets pretty annoying after a while.

Scott Forstall however is much more dynamic and interesting to listen to:

and when he gets older, he's just going to turn into one of our most beloved film actors:

    Brilliant!

( although I saw Scott Forstall as more like Christopher Walken.)

Apple could then add more cowbell (TM) to improve products.
