Upgrade Ram for MacBook?

Intel Core 2 Duo 1 GB MacBook i want to upgrade to 4 GB and i was looking at crucial.com and found upgrade kit of 4GB(2GBx2) for $43.99 while apple charges $300 is crucial good or what other options are there?

    Great ram and they have great prices, compaired to apple for the same ram, there the only brand id think of buying anything else.
