Is ther anyway (even at the price of a longer startup) that you could have a song playing? I was curious if it is possible to have a song start playing while your computer is starting up?

    I had a dream the other night that when you logged into OS X from the users screen, a high-res picture of you (the one you put as your little icon) was a "texture" on an Apple logo. Then, a selected MP3 would start playing, and you'd see all your pictures, files, contacts, and everything just sorta scale and morph and get sucked all into their respective folders in a really cool animation while Quartz and OpenGL did some "screen-saverish" slide shows of your latest iPhoto pictures. When it was all done, it said, "Welcome, Steve."



    And that's when I woke up.

    i figured it wouldn't be possible because the required software isnt' available yet...how bout after it starts up and ur at a login screen...possible then? (even though at that point the purpose is kinda defeated)

    are you kidding? 10.2 can't even play the 'empty the trash' song consistently!

    Ever wonder what Aqua tastes like? What sort of aftertaste would linger after you licked OS X?



    I don't mean licking the display, oh no, I mean licking OS X! To actually LICK AQUA--what would it taste like?
