How do I restore my Mail?

I have just done a clean install of OSX and want to restore my Mail and Mail settings from a backup. However I don't know what files/directories I need to copy back.
Please can someone help me with this.

As far as I can remember when I had to do this, the only folder you need to bring back is the ~/Library/Mail
Obviously, make sure Mail is closed when you do this.
Let me know if this helps.
Oh, and ~ means your home directory.

just copy the whole folder
(i think Alex got it right - ~/Library/Mail)
, run macmail, look for "Rebuild" in one of the menus
