Powerbook will not pair with BT apple keyboard

I gave my iMac g5 to my parents and sold there eMac that was also mine and since they have there own aluminum/mighty mouse set, i wanted to use my bluetooth keyboard with my powerbook since im keeping it, so ive noticed its under my bluetooth thing and i tell it to connect to the computer but it wont, the only time ive used it with my powerbook is when it was in target mode to the imac g5 so techniqly it wasnt using the powerbooks bluetooth, does anyone know how to get it to connect?
