Make files UNrecoverable?

Since Norton's Wipe Info doesn't work in OS X, how does one erase files in OS X so that they cannot be recovered using a program like Unerase?

Is there something built into OS X? Is there a different 3rd party vendor of OS X compatible software that will do the trick?

The StuffIt suite has a program that can do that, and it is of course OSX native.
