How do I make a music DVD?

I used to make compilation tapes with my favorite songs from CDs to play. I'd like to do the same for songs from my music DVDs. However, hours of messing around hasn't got me very far. Anyone know of an easy solution. With CD's I just copied the aiff files into a folder and imported them into Toast and that was it. Extracting files from DVDs isn't so clear cut.

    I gotta run, but, toast can help, makes menus and etc for a DVD with converting audio for DVD playback.
