regarding the G5 powermac
the guy in care of the mac equipment at our school - who previously said there will be no powermac speed bumps at MWSF, and was spot on - said that there will be G5 powermacs soon. he said they were "ready" but that apple is waiting with their release.
i was helping him carry 13 brand new 733 PMs along with 19" belinea screens (and messa couldn't bring one home for testing if it's ok
) and we had a chat. he was a bit miffed that january didn't bring new PM machines, as he was betting his 13 PM order on it but said that G5 will be there before summer.
now he's no apple employee but he usually brings bigger orders to the local mac reseller and most of his info is rumor-based probably, yet the reseller told him that waiting for a G5 till spring makes sense.
so I am waiting.
