ibook installation problems

hi,



I bought a ibook g3 from ebay, the seller erased the entire HDD before sending it to me. For the past 2 days i have been trying to install tiger on it and every time i see the apple logo and it shutoffs.



I have searched online and found you have to reset PMU and Pram, I have done all of that but still no success. I dont know what i am doing wrong. Can someone please help me.



Oh one more thing, I did come with a the charger so i was running the laptop on the battery, i dont know if this is the problem?????

    hmmm... I ordered the charger and it should arrive by next next week. hope the charger solves the problem.
