In some cases, I agree. In others, we should let them talk themselves to death and bury them in their own confusion.

Websites that only serve up content for one brand of web browser is antithetical to what the World Wide Web is about. Remember back in the 90s when web sites displayed buttons like "Best Viewed on Netscape" or "Best Viewed on Internet Explorer"? Or remember when websites would only render (or worse, only work) for IE5 or IE6? Those days, thankfully, are mostly behind us. And I don't miss 'em.

Besides, where would I get my mindless entertainment from? Reading troll posts is like watching the hillbilly channel.

Fueller is talking crap like he always does.

He fluffed about the Oracle case in how it will severely damage Googles case.

90+% of the suit brought by Oracle was dismissed.

Fueller is all talk, no walk.

To Apple: The FRAND issue is in Germany, not in California.

This is just Apple's attempt to get something in the door in its home town as all the others have failed.

I don't come here for discussions with anti-Apple people, as I am not interested in anything that these people have to say. I am only interested in speaking with fellow Apple users. But that of course is not up to me, so all I can do as a user is to forcibly knock down any ignorant comments which anti-Apple people spew from their mouths. As opposed to what some other people might believe, I don't believe that ignoring ignorance is the best method for dealing with trolls. I believe that they should be confronted head on and killed as quickly as possible

Your will fit right in with communism and socialism. Listening, preaching and practicing only the words and life styles of those from above. Never questioning and raising issues.

Interesting. I was going to Photoshop something almost exactly like this (Tim Cook's head), but it seems my work has been done for me?

Nope, I can't stand commies and socialists as they both represent failed and evil political systems designed for ignorant beings who can't think for themselves.

Not wanting anti-Apple trolls on an Apple forum has very little to do with what you suggested. I simply don't like anti-Apple people on an Apple site, imagine that.

If I was on a Ford forum, I wouldn't want Nissan trolls popping by. If I was on a NY Yankees forum, I wouldn't want Boston Redsox trolls coming by. It's quite a simple concept, surely you can understand that?

If they win this action Google will be quite happy that they have not completed the purchase of Motorola.

I have no idea what the purchase agreement between Google and Motorola is, but from what has been stated on this forum previously, Motorola is required to get Google authority to take the legal action. Therefore, at least, Google's involvement in the Motorola suit against Apple puts them into the position of authorizing the precise actions which Google would use to back out of the Motorola deal, or modify the deal indicating Motorola is not worth the initially offered purchase price

    Unclean hands!

It could also be the case that Google is actually directing Motorola actions. Either way then Google might be in more trouble. Assuming Apple wins, and things don't go Motorola's way in Europe, Motorola investors are likely to file suits against both Google and Motorola for wasting assets and decrease of stock price.

Oddly silent indeed since the last quarterly earnings report.

He'll be back when Apple "doesn't meet expectations" next quarter or if Samsung overtakes Apple in yearly "sales" again.

They supposedly need to get Google's blessing for new legal actions and probably any new pledges or contracts that might materially affect Motorola's liabilities or assets prior to the closing of the sale, which would be logical.

The suit against Apple is not a new action. There would be no reason to assume that Google could order Moto to stop their legal actions that were committed to prior to Google purchase offer.

    Does that make sense?

Post or not, guys like you will never leave. You are incapable of doing so, or even looking away from news concerning Apple. You hate Apple, but yet you are drawn to it.

As a result, AI will continue to get its hits.

Because they aren't so much filing the suit over the suits in Germany as combatting the underlying game. Which Motorola likely intended to file in other countries but just hadn't done yet.

Add to this that patent suits aren't as restricted when it comes to jurisdiction and the fact that all 3 players are companies that are doing business in the US (plus Cali is Apple's home state) and it's not that illogical.

Stop Apple from being competition or if that is not possible to get as much money out of them as possible.

Why do I get the distinct feeling that Apple has just sprung a trap?

All of those pre-ambles with not contesting the original suit in Germany, getting banned there, getting un-banned there, and now this, with a potential of billions of upside.

Risky business, for sure, but if it works it might become a textbook in future Contracts classes.

It might make sense, but it doesn't mean that is true, or that your interpretation of new action is as narrow as you want to make it. Complaints and responses are in constant change prior to trial, which can substantially alter the substance a case which a potential suitor would want to protect against, as can court rulings which may strengthen or weaken a case.

Apple to Google: "You can either give us $12 billion or you can give us Motorola in exchange. Oh, and one more thing... If you give us the $12 billion then we'll use it to sue your ass into history but if you give us Motorola in exchange then Android is history. Y'all have a good night now."
