iTunes has become a name that doesn't really encompass all that it offers. But that was a gradual occurrence. I wonder if they will change it at some point.

Usually, you re-brand something when it is not doing well. For instance, MobileMe.

iTunes does not have that problem.

buying anything from google will give them more data for more ads for you and your family. Just waiting for the day when the mailbox is filled with junk from vendors who collect data from Google...

Google does sell the data to other advertising firms. They are the advertising company. Maybe all those Viagra and birth control ads will go away.

Then you can feel good about them getting your personal info instead of worrying about when they will get it.

Do they have Google cards? Or are they still trying to copy that?

    I give up.

Maybe you could give an example of being treated better (I'm assuming you mean Apple/iTunes vs. Google/google play ?

This is necessary for them. I didn't even realize until pretty far into the game that many of the Google offshoots were even Google. Most people who own Android phones probably had no idea of the connection to Google until recently, if even then.

Based on past history, I'm surprised they didn't just name it Google iTunes.
