Apple updates Cards app ahead of Mother's Day

Version 1.1 of the Cards iOS app brings new templates and fixes to Apple's digital-to-physical card sending service.



The relatively minor update brings new Mother's Day and Get Well template categories and adds more choices for existing cards like birthdays.



From the release notes:

First announced in October 2011, Cards now boasts 34 designs to choose from, all of which are printed on cotton paper.

    The Cards app would be rendered indispensable if it synced with your birthday calendar and gave you an alert 10 days before a listed birthday. -- I bet it would see far more use.

    The probably don't sell many cards in the UK due to the ridiculous pricing.
