After 'Retina', what's next? 'Retina 3D'?? How can Apple improve upon the retina display on the ipad and iphone, or has mobile screen tech maxed out for the foreseeable future?
Apple 'unveils' are not the same without Jobs. While this should be no surprise to anyone, it's still sad.
Considering that Apple might call the new iPad the 'iPad HD' I think that Apple calling their line of HD smart TVs the 'iHD' becomes even more likely.
Do you think the performance leap from the A5 to the new A6 be larger than the leap that occurred from A4 to A5 processor?
"When you're young, you look at television and think, There's a conspiracy. The networks have conspired to dumb us down. But when you get a little older, you realize that's not true. The networks are in business to give people exactly what they want. That's a far more depressing thought. Conspiracy is optimistic! You can shoot the bastards! We can have a revolution! But the networks are really in business to give people what they want. It's the truth."- Steve Jobs
Here's a video of a 82-inch multi-touch display which could serve as a clue as to what Apple's iHD might be capable of @ http://vimeo.com/33046498
ipad4 = curved glass??
Maybe a 40inch iHD could become a virtual desk if laid flat like the EXOdesk Video of it in action @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=5dlUi3DnrzA
If anyone is serious about learning about the moral ramifications of technology they need to read the works of Marshall Mcluhan (@ http://marshallmcluhan.com/biography/ ), Nicholas Carr (@ www.roughtype.com ), and Kevin Kelly (editor at large for Wired) ( @ http://www.kk.org/thetechnium/archiv...rn_digital.php )
Those things should happen in 2012 and then in 2013 Windows 8 users will be able to ask Siri if their PC sucks, and Siri will reply 'Yes it does".
