The XO-2, scheduled for 2010 is the best concept yet. Dual multi-touch displays that can be used as a keyboard too. You can open it like a book as well as an e book reader. Nice. I think this is the direction Apple will head. Nov 2009 MacBook Pro with dual multi-touch displays and Mac OS X 10.6?? Apple will no longer need to produce a different computer with a different keyboard for each country too!
Without AMD being such a strong competitor, expect more of this...
This usually involves extending your contract with Orange France for 12 or 24 months.
Hopefully they are adding HSPA to the MacBook Pro and Air... Some people are complaining about the coverage a 3G network that covers 275 cities. Check out Clearwire's non-existent coverage here - and it's unlikely that they'll add the original goal of 19 extra cities at the end of this year. Why put high-speed wireless data on hold, when we can have it now? WiMax also has far worse coverage characteristics (higher frequency) than HSPA. The networks are expensive to roll...
Wrong way around! A-GPS is vastly better than GPS. It improves accuracy and dramatically improves time to fix.It downloads ephemeris and almanac data via the internet instead of over the satellites (A GPS satellite takes 30 seconds to transmit just 1500 bits). It can then use the satellite information in less than 5 seconds, and is likely to be usable in poor conditions in 10-15 seconds - as opposed to minutes if it had to wait for this data from the satellites.A Nokia N95...
Notice that this deal cancels the exclusivity arrangement that was in place with Austria with T-Mobile. Will other currently exclusive markets be going multi-carrier as well?
"Mmm that cheeseburger looks good" iPhone says NO.
Today text messaging is the most widely used mobile data service on the planet, with 72% of all mobile phone users worldwide or 1.9 Billion users. As their users data requirements grow, more EDGE networks will upgrade to HSPA. 73 countries now have HSPA networks.I find it odd that you argue that the actions of Wimax carriers are less likely to milk customers without providing any justification. Wimax networks are even more expensive to build and those costs have to be...
Next up is the Montevina platform - which brings the GMA X4500, which should offer improved graphics performance, and the Penryn LV processor at a similar clock speed which should improve battery life marginally. We may see integrated 3G (HSPA) now too - it can fit and now Apple has carrier arrangements for 35 countries. These partners would love Apple to add HSPA. Apple has learned their lesson and with the iPhone and built-in HSPA won't be network locked. The MacBook...
After Apple's first HSPA phone in 2008 (it may not even include HSUPA), the 2009/2010 iPhone should include HSPA+ - which offers 50% talktime battery life improvements, speeds up to 42Mbit/s, dramatic latency improvements and spectacular network capacity increases. That should hold us over until 2010/2011 when the LTE iPhone has enough processing power and LTE network coverage to start using LTE's blazing speeds starting at 326.4Mbit/s.Sprint has not ruled out rolling out...
