Some rival smartwatches, such as the Android-based Moto 360, saw significant price cuts on Friday in a bid to keep up sales in the wake of Apple opening preorders for the Apple Watch. While investment firm UBS doesn't believe the Apple Watch is yet a "must have" device, its importance to the company's bottom line is expected to grow over time as new use cases emerge.
