no way that this will happen for reason stated in the Article and that IMO a 10 Billion dollar investment would be required... with no payback on the Horizon... while American's are "patriotic" they also want to "live free" not as in freedom, but as in free and cheap products... thus there are very few americans outside of those that are in the military, that would pay an extra 100 dollars for an iPhone. (if you want to gauge how many people would be buying the iPhone look...
should Tim Cook really be gambling with Apple security.../kidding LOL
if the iPhone was made inthe USA, people would still grey market the china iPhone because it would be cheaper. The US would never levy a Customs duty on china made products!... free trade!... Why is the Xbox not made in the USA?... Microsoft has more than enough money to make manufacturing plants in the USA, and the consoles design does not change yearly... if you can answer why the Xbox is not made in the USA, you will have the answer to why the iPhone is not made in...
Tim Cook was never 'gifted' anything...the Late Steve Jobs never 'Gifted' anything... you worked and were/are well compensated!... read the steve jobs book for a clue!.You are a troll, and invite an Godwin analogy...
RIM should donate all of the used playbooks, to the university of waterloo, laurier, toronto... heck all of the canadian universities... maybe then they may be useful. (or become useful)... because the canadian taxpayers are ultimately going to pay for this inventory, thus the effectively lower taxes caused by the inventory write-down.. IMO.
anything that digitimes reports, that is reported by appleinsider, is a almost a neo-godwins law LOL ;. thus the thread is over before it has started ... meaning fiction...
...do not feed the trolls...LOL...
iOS is "linux"...except the linux has been rewritten for a touch screen by Apple. (thus no open source code in it... IMO) Linux proper would be a great idea for a "generic" tablet, except that the linux desktop needs to be written for touch. and anyone that can do that for free is using the iPad, thus it won't happen. the ubuntu linux GUI is somewhat ok in it's design for a touch screen... but unbuntu is aready supporting a free OS already...
keep spouting your made up meme.Tim Cook and Jon Ive are equals... chick and egg... whats more important?.at a certain point you need someone to make the products, and Tim Cook has proven that he can do it.if you can not make the product in vast quantities for an equal amount of profit, all is moot.you need the idea (ive) egg, but the chicken (tim cook) is needed to make the profit.who sets the price?... Tim Cook most likely has more input to that question than Ive...
Does IBM believe that there is a real person translating the voice to text/searchs? sounds like IBM is pissed that they did not invent Siri, (the NIMBY or not-invented-here syndrome) of course there are security concerns over siri but the same concerns could be applied to the internet. how is apple going to pour though millions of Siri requests, just to find IBMs secret patent ideas?/infomation. or anyone elses?. apple would have to have a "wiretap" or have a machine...
