Many of my older photos in iPhoto appear in the thumbnail view, but when I click on them to open larger, the black screen with the big exclamation point appears. Is there a way to restore the link?

Is it just me? Every time over the past several weeks when I try to go to the Apple Communities site, this message comes up: "We are busy updating Apple discussions for you and will be back shortly."
