There IS a small demand for touch screens for artists (Wacom caters to them), but I don't think Apple needs to go after it since 3rd parties do.  Touch/stylus use is great for 3D 'sculpting', graphic design, etc...    I agree though, OS-X should stay the way it is (a serious UNIX system for developers, artists and professionals), and iOS should remain a consumer product (although a legitimate option to open the file system for pros and devs would be nice, it shouldn't...
Apple doesn't need to bother with these lawsuits.  Asus doesn't compete with Apple because Asus sells Windows machines.  If someone wants a Mac OS-X system, they'll buy one.
HTC's issue is that they still don't have the balls to stick up to the US telecoms, tell them where to go, and actually go through with a 1-3 model strategy.  Doing a whole bunch of customized models for each telecom is a complete waste of time.    As far as the phones themselves, they ARE the best HIGH-END phones on the market.  They're not for everyone, but they are very good phones.  HTC has always combined good specs, good software (HTC Sense adds alot of...
Parents should spend more time educating and parenting their children then blaming others for their own lack of vigilance. While Amazon might consider it an opportunity to put parental controls in future versions of the Kindle Fire, it's not their fault these parents have failed to properly raise their children. Individuals need to take responsibility for their own actions, and quit blaming others...
Will never happen unless Google shelves it for another mobile platform. Google's business model does not depend on them making money from their services, if they intended Android to be a cash cow they would have simply licensed it, not given it away (source code and all) for free...
Yes, in Canada an iPhone 4S is around the same subsidized price as the Galaxy note, only slightly more than a Galaxy S2 (which has been around for a year), and over a 3 year contract, I don't think the extra 50 dollars will sway anyone who wants an Apple. Android is a great platform for some things. iOS is better for others. Android operates more like a computer - you can download torrents, use file managers, do basic programming, access more websites (flash sucks,...
Google didn't release Android to make money. In fact, Google has released many programs that lose money. Google in general, is not in it to make money. They manage information, and create technology. Much of what they do they make open source. The advertising bit is simply the 'necessary' result of making everything free, not their 'raison d'être'. They've constantly given the middle finger to their investors, and somehow still constantly grow. Android's entire...
Why doesn't Apple simply do what HTC, Samsung, etc... do and put country specific radios in each device? It does suck to know that you're buying a device that doesn't work to it's full potential in your country...
Picasa and Panoramio. Although HTC does integrate fairly well with Flickr, which is why there's 1 HTC phone up there (but HTC generally releases 10+ models a year, so their hits will be very spread out). This is just another deceiving article on AppleInsider, using cherry picked stats. The title should read: iPhone most popular camera on Flickr.
The business class is still completely dominated by BB. In the US it's considered acceptable for employees to use iPhones (probably because of patriotic pride), in Canada, companies still hand out BBs, and nothing else. If they ever replace them, it will probably be a customized Android phone, but for now, BB still is king (for corporations).
