When I used to work at a few software companies, we had the "final stretch". Everyone one of those developers and testers are working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day to get this out on time and they will be generously rewarded for it.
Blackberry CEO's don't exactly have a reliable track record of predicting the future.
$299? Hell no. This is why Firewire never caught on. The cost of licensing is so high these companies can't make anything inexpensive.

Ok, so Apple eliminates it's Pro line. Then what? We move development over to Windows? I can see it now, Pixar replaces all of their Mac Pro's with Windows 8 machines.
If MacBooks are going to be the highlight of WWDC I'm going to be pi*sed.
I don't know what is happening, but I know I'm getting sick of not knowing what is happening. My Mac Pro at work is 5 years old and I've been waiting to have it upgraded for over a year.
I was just at Best Buy and all you could hear were crickets. I think there were 5 people there plus me and no one was in the Samsung section.
