From the Apple web page at http://www.apple.com/universal/crossgrade/ "The Universal version of Final Cut Studio requires Mac OS X Tiger version 10.4.4 or later."
I just want my iMac Core Duo remote to turn up iTunes in Front Row, not the local computer volume. Sucks to not be able to control the volume remotely when using Air Tunes.
What's with AppleInsider's CMS system? I replied right after this article was posted, and my reply (which has been replied to by two other users: http://forums.appleinsider.com/showt...686#post878686) isn't shown here. Strange. So, here's a repost of my comments: It's irresponsible for AppleInsider to claim that "visual artifacts affecting interface elements in Mac OS X have been an ongoing issue for owners of iMac CoreDuo models with a 256MB ATI Radeon X1600 video...
It's irresponsible for AppleInsider to claim that "visual artifacts affecting interface elements in Mac OS X have been an ongoing issue for owners of iMac CoreDuo models with a 256MB ATI Radeon X1600 video card", implying that all owners are affected. This is plainly not true. I've not had a single problem in any application (not even FrontRow), and I have a 20" 256MB model.
I've noticed (I'm right handed) that the side button on the left is too far up for my thumb to comfortably rest on it. Otherwise, I like it a lot.
OpenOSX is notorious for false claims and bad business practices. See: http://fink.sourceforge.net/pr/openosx.php http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.php?t=281987 and finally, customer reviews at: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/mo...edback&vid=All
I've got a Dell 3100CN color laser attached to my network. It works fine on my 20" iMac Duo. But, I would never buy another Dell product again. Their tech support is horrible, and the quality of the printer isn't that great. They don't even have downloadable PPDs for this printer online, even though it's sold as Mac compatible and it has Postscript 3 onboard.
Blue Friday has officially turned to Happy Mac day! Woot! Just called Apple and Nick told me that the iMac is boxed and awaiting pickup by FedEx. Now, if the Broncos win on Sunday, the path will have come full circle and all will be well in the universe.
From this morning's email: Due to an unexpected delay, we were unable to ship your product(s) by the date originally quoted to you (Ordered Jan 11th, store indicated 3-5 days). We now anticipate shipping the following item(s) as follows: Z0CY, IMAC 20/2.0/SD CTO will now ship by Jan 24, 2006 and deliver by Jan 31, 2006 Ouch. That must be one hell of a backorder. When Steve said they're shipping now, someone should've asked "How many?"
I'm being an immature, whiny kid on the verge of throwing a tantrum when he doesn't get what he wants!
