Get your facts . You can already with 3.1.2 (and as far as i remember even from 1.0.0) select your search provider, and if you've set "Yahoo!" as search provider, the button said "yahoo!"
thanks, I didn't LOL for a long time. remember the hairline cracks in the iphone casing?http://blogs.zdnet.com/hardware/?p=2321 Or what about the screen? scratches pretty fast. the Droid i think, for example uses Gorilla Glass, which is quite more sturdy than the iPhones.http://gizmodo.com/5443146/gorilla-g...on-unbreakable I wouldn't call the iPhone a "well made, sturdy phone". well designed? yes definatelly. materials that look good on paper? for the 1gen yes (aluminum,...
True, but thats not the main complaint. Apple only has control over the default search engine in its Mobile Safari, but none other available browser. This would only become a problem, if a 3rd App browser would become so popular that it would effectively hurt mobile safari's share and therefore its search-engine-hits
File Handling (what to do when opening an URL with .zip) and Page Rendering are two totally different things. All, the WebKit-Frame work (and therefore engine a little more deeper inside the framework) does, is "convert the HTML code to an image that is displayed inside a WebView". (yes, the insides of a webview is basically just an rendered image, you can see that when zooming you first get a low-res page and after the webkit-framework rerenders the code you get the...
Okay, we should probably define it more clearly. Browsers that do not use apples Built-in Webkit Engine get rejected. Googles Chrome does use Webkit, but has its own implementen. Google Chrome on Mac OS X _does_use Webkit, but not the webkit framework that is built-in in Mac OS X. So, the whole discussion is not about the browser engine, but rather the frameworks. if google chrome would use the iphones built-in webkit framework, than it would be fine and apple woudln't...
you guys, don't listen to PR-shit. the carkit DOES work with the iPhone 2G and it even works with other GPS apps like navigon. check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71cGSFVwu1E it is german, but basicly what he does is, using the GPS with an iPhone 2G. with the navigon and the built-in Maps (the tomtom software wasn't out by the time he tried it out)
I was wondering the same, i found some reference of IB in Wikipedia, but nothing that poped out.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IB i also didnt found a link on the AI-article. maybe IB Windows means something like "international business windows" while "new windows switchers" means "private user" anyone?
sorry guys, hate to disapoint you, but "blocks, terminal, vrecord and games" are from jailbroken iphone. apple used, for some crazy reason, an iPhone that is jailbroken to make the drawings. just check out image 4 and 5 from the patent http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-...le&RS=AN/Apple installer, a well known theme for summerboard, and even sbsettings http://aiw2.uspto.gov:80/.DImg?Docid...&ImgFormat=tif kinda funny. apple saying, jailbreaking is bad...
