My first mac with the Titanium Powerbook at 15", followed by the 12.1" Aluminum Powerbook, followed by my current White 2006 Macbook (whose battery just reached 1300 charge cycles and still runs for 2.5 hours). By far my favorite mac was the 12.1" Powerbook. The size was amazing. Because it will be widescreen and have a higher resolution like all other macs today, that should mean that we get a lot more screen real estate than before..
Err, Apple filed suit 3 months after Psystar went live. Hardly a long time, but I still get what you're saying. The longer the wait, the larger the violation.
I wonder if this is similar to the blackberry issue where certain services (facetime servers) take place overseas and thus they won't allow it.
I'm 99.99% confident we will see MacBook Pro and Air updates by the end of October. The MBP are 164 days old with an average product cycle of 208 days, and the MBA is 473 days old, long overdue. MacBooks historically get updated in October for the holiday season. Also, the iMac has officially adopted the i3 and i5 series chips, so expect those to enter Macbooks as well. 4miller, As noted on the first page of the legal action, HyperMac is using the 30-pin dock connector without licensed permission from Apple. Apple licenses the use of the dock connector to many manufactures, and sells a number of extended battery chargers through their own online and retail channels on behalf of 3rd part hardware manufacturers. I hope this clears up any misconceptions you might have about the case.
Adobe has an archive of older flash installs, http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html Good idea to go straight to the source vs. a user-created rapidshare file.
Try installing flash 10.1,http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html Do you have to force restart the entire system to get back to normal?
For the record, the individual works of Lennon, McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Yoko Ono are all on iTunes. Yes, Yokos latest album is on iTunes. My only speculation (as I think has been discussed before) is that Apple Records does not want to sell individual tracks, and Apple iTunes does. The Beatles are of course known for creating large story arcs with their albums, and thus may not be interested in selling individual tracks.
The iMac was last updated 278 days ago, which is 47 days passed the average cycle update of 221 days before refresh. (via Mac Buyers Guide) The last update to the iMac (the one you own) was a major overhaul, so next update will likely not be anything major. I don't expect any major design changes for 1-2 years. The only rumor floating right now is multitouch/iOS integration into iMacs/Apple desktops but that seems unlikely at this time. Would be kinda cool though.
Could you mean the $4bn in cash they put away this quarter?
