I'm still using the 17-inch Studio Display LCD. I bought it back in Feb/2003 with the G4. Right now, the brightness level is still being set to the lowest setting. I use it pretty much over 8 hours a day. I do recommend Apple display.

I don't know about the article. However, the 4GB black model got sold out on last Thursday.. which I was the third in line. I constantly checked the Apple Store (Bellevue Square) for availability. The lady simply said only 2GB model...

I asked for the white, but black was the only choice for the first shipment at my local Apple Store. I got the black 4GB.

Thanks for the heads up on the FireWire part. Looks like I have to invest on a USB 2 PCI card on my PowerMac G4.

I bought a couple Verbatim 8.5GB 4X media and they worked pretty well on my DVR-108.

I noticed that yesterday on the Sunday's paper... what a nerd!
