I want to create a mixed CD, crossfades, no gaps, but am not a DJ and can't do it real-time. Is there an alternative to (the now ancient) Jam by Roxio that allows you to manually arrange crossfades and then record? I'd stick with Jam but am having some problems with audio quality - particularly on VBR or V. HQ MP3's. (I like the way it works visually, blending waveforms seems intuitive). I thought it would be easy to find a newer app but so far no luck. Any ideas?
I don't know if this is going to help... I'm running 10.5.2 with an iSight and its working okay. I haven't DL any new software since updating the OS so I don't think that's the problem. I wonder if there is any difference depending on which version of the iSight you have? (Mine is shown as Product revision level 1.0.3 in the system profiler)
I just had a Lacie D2 250GB HDD die (horrible grating noise ) and took a look inside. Seems like a standard HD and Lacie's own interface/controller. Does anyone know if I can simply swap the actual drive for another one, or is the problem more likely to be with the other bits? I don't want to buy a new HD and connect it just to hear that noise again. If it worked though, it would be a cheaper way of getting a new drive. (I've tried swapping the drive to an...
If its to be in any way legitimate, surely the nature of the 'threat' to which preemptive strikes are to be directed should be stipulated? Do threats to self-esteem / world image, to the significant commercial interests of private companies or threats to dominant world position etc justify an attack,or would it only be legitimate if as a response to a real threat that citizens / infrastructure will come under physical attack? India and China may soon threaten US...
What pubguy said was exactly what I meant...and thanks for the suggestion and clarification. I shall give Zone Alarm a try.
My son's Windows (XP) PC has just joined our home network. The rest of us (Mac users) are using little snitch: is there a Windows app any one knows of that does the same thing as well as this? Thanks.
Thoughts about the shooting: 1. More likely to be incompetance than deliberate. (What gain could there be from deliberatly execting this innocent man?) 2. More likely to be security forces (SAS/Military) that did the actual shooting rather than the police, though joint operation with police seems probable. (Police officers departments were not named, there was no mention of their suspension from duty or being moved to non-operational roles - (SOP) and...
Hmmm.. Is this law a response to the recent story that some convicted rapists and paedophiles were getting tax funded Viagra...or was that story placed because this was already in the pipeline? Washington Post story
Content. Pure & Simple. btw... I'm a little shocked that so many AI'ers who are happy with the content are so cheap! (This is a forum for Mac users right?) Sounds like most of you are getting into a movie for - $10 (£5)....if for that you were seeing films like The Godfather, Apocolypse Now, Raging Bull etc.. loud, bright and on big screens I'd call that value. (2 hours standing in a bar would cost a hell of a lot more than that....come to think of it that's...
I honestly don't think its a heat/use problem. the drive has worked for long periods of time (transferring small quantities of data back and forth for up six continuous weeks). My usage hasn't changed. Another thing, and my problem is kind of solved, albeit I don't know what happened or whether it'll happen again... I changed the Firewire port that I was connected to on the back of the Mac. This seems to have solved the problem - no more cut outs (PSU, cables,...
